About Savonia Savonia University of Applied Sciences is one the largest and most versatile Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland. Our organization of experts educates strong professionals in six different fields of study. Our versatile Degree Programmes offer the students the opportunity to study as a fulltime student or alongside their job (Master’s Degree and specialised studies) or flexibly in the Open University of Applied Sciences. Our campuses are located in Kuopio, Iisalmi and Varkaus. Savonia UAS wishes to serve the surrounding work life actively. Savonia University of Applied Sciences is run by The Municipal Federation of Savonia University of Applied Sciences. The municipalities that comprise The Municipal Federation are Iisalmi, Kiuruvesi, Kuopio, Lapinlahti and Varkaus. The manager of The Municipal Federation and the President of Savonia UAS is Mr Veli-Matti Tolppi.
